The Hollywood Ballroom Singles ( and Couples) is more than 10 years old and getting younger. The founder of the Hollywood Ballroom, Bobbie, started the Maryland/Virginia Singles Dance Party 25 years ago in the Baltimore/Washington area with a vision of having a fun and friendly place for singles (and couples) to meet and dance. It is the oldest continuously running dance party in the area.

Dancers from age 18 to 80 enjoy dancing to a variety of music, from Top 40 to measured ballroom, on the spacious, custom-made floating maple dance floor.

The Hollywood Ballroom offers a complimentary dance lesson, with each paid admission, an hour before each dance. The lessons are taught by Steve Ferrara, along with some of the area's other dance instructors.

Dancers who are taking classes at local dance studios often come to the ballroom to practice. It is the perfect place to try out all of those new dance steps!!

The Hollywood Ballroom hosts many special events, including a week long celebration during National Ballroom Dance Week (during September.) The Halloween costume party is a delightful and fun event. The New Years Eve ball is full of enchantment and style. And the Cupid's Ball on Valentine's Day is a favorite of all.

The Hollywood Ballroom is an exciting way to meet new people and a great way to exercise.

We hope to see you soon at The Hollywood Ballroom!

We love to hear what people have to say about the Hollywood Ballroom. Here is what one of our friends wrote about us...

Every city should have a Hollywood Ballroom. A place where dancers of all ages and skill levels can go alone, as couples or in groups, and enjoy ballroom dancing. I thoroughly enjoyed the friendly atmosphere at the Hollywood Ballroom where ladies do not hesitate to ask men to dance, where men and women of different generations willingly and happily dance with each other, where the beginner is as welcome as the advanced dancer, and where everyone has a great time.

Thank you Richard for the kind words... we couldn't agree with you more!
